Nearly 1,000 infants diagnosed with hearing problems last year — Minister

CYBERJAYA, May 18 — Approximately 987 out of 253,822 infants screened under the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening (UNHS) programme nationwide in 2023 were diagnosed with hearing problems, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.

DOSH alarmed by rise in cases of hearing loss due to occupational noise

KUANTAN, Aug 10 — The Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) has confirmed that a majority of the 2,042 cases of occupational diseases for the period of January to May were occupational noise-related hearing disorders.
